Grief Recovery Programs

Grief is a normal natural emotional response to a loss. It is not unnatural or unhealthy to bear grief for the loss of a loved one. We all experience losses and we all grieve. Yet grief is one of the most off-limits topics for discussion in our society. It seems strange that one of the experiences we're all going to have is the one experience we're ill-prepared for and ill-equipped to talk about. |
Description of Grief Recovery Workshop - 8 Consecutive Weekly Sessions
This workshop was created to help you move through the pain of unresolved grief to a more enriched, more alive and more fulfilled quality of life.
This unique program provides you with the tools necessary to help you move beyond your loss. The purpose of the Grief Recovery Program is to help you learn the appropriate skills that lead to successful completion of relationships that ended. By providing a safe environment and accurate information about grief and recovery, you will learn how to identify and communicate about your losses.
The Grief Recovery Handbook is provided to participants to help you personally reflect upon the content of the sessions. You will learn the specific steps to help you overcome the sense of incompleteness which accompanies unresolved grief. And you will have an opportunity to practice new skills that lead to recovery by participating in exercises to guide you through the process of awareness, acceptance, recovery, action and moving beyond loss.
If you have experienced a loss and want to "Move Beyond Your Grief", participation in this program offers you a safe environment where you can begin your healing journey and again rejoice in life.
For those who desire a less structured type of program, we offer our Bereavement Support Group.
Bereavement Support Groups - On-Going Weekly Sessions
The purpose of this group is to give you the opportunity to share your feelings and experiences with others in a safe, supportive environment. By sharing your insights with others you begin to gain an understanding of the healing process. Various topics will be discussed each week including "Understanding Grief", "Dealing with Anger", and "Healing as a Journey".
The group creates an atmosphere of trust and sharing to help you cope with the emotional pain that accompanies the loss of a loved one. Participation in this group will enable you to move forward through the grief process.
Both programs are offered free of charge. |
