Aida Edith Marino, 94, of Edison, died peacefully on Friday, April 6, 2018 at her home.
Born in Pescara, Italy she had lived in Jamaica NY & Flushing NY before moving to St. Petersburg, FL where she resided for the next 33 years. She was an active parishioner at St. Mary Our Lady of Grace Church in St. Petersburg, FL, as well as a member of the Italian-American Club. In 2014, she moved to Edison NJ to live with her daughter. She loved to cook for her family, play cards, and was a longtime member of Disney & Busch Gardens (mainly to visit the animals).
She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 39 years, John; parents, Gabriel & Marie Perilli; son-in-law, Eugene Pawlowski in 2001; and three siblings, Alfonso, Sandra, & Carmen.
She is survived by her two children, Christine Pawlowski of Edison, & John Marino & his wife Maria of Rockville Centre, NY; 5 grandchildren, Edith-Jean Brizzi & her husband Mark, Eugene, Jon-Michael, Gina, & Anthony; 1 great-granddaughter, Kiersten; 8 nieces & nephews; & many great-nieces and great-nephews along with her constant companion Holley the dog.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 9 am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue (Rt. 27), Metuchen followed by a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, 41 Manning Ave., North Plainfield, NJ, 07060. Cremation will be private.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm.
