Alexander D. Korch, 68, of South Plainfield, passed away with his wife Carolyn by his side on Monday, March 5, 2018 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Metuchen, he resided in Edison before moving to South Plainfield 35 years ago.
He was employed by L.A. Dreyfus in Edison for over 45 years, before his retirement.
Al had served in the US Navy Reserve and was a member of Knights of Columbus St. Francis Council 3272. He also had been a member of the Metuchen Volunteer Fire Department.
He loved woodworking, camping and, after his retirement, day trips with his wife.
He was predeceased by his parents Betty and Alexander Korch, as well as his father-in-law John Dziombak.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years Carolyn (Dziombak) Korch; his brothers Ken and Bill; a sister Kathy; his mother-in-law Eleanore Dziombak; & his cousins Mike, Chet, Chris and their family’s.

Services will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 9:45am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen, followed by a 10:15am Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen.
