Francis J. Coleman, 59, of Metuchen died suddenly on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at his home.
Frank/Francie was born in County Tyrone, Ireland to the late Michael and Margaret (Sheeky) Coleman. He settled in America in 1987 and lived in NY & Edison before residing in Metuchen, NJ. He was a devout Catholic and active communicant of St. Francis Cathedral of Metuchen. He was very musical and singing around the house and in town.
He enjoyed playing the guitar and other instruments. He loved singing Irish, Gospel and Country music. He was a dedicated boxer in his youth. Frank/Francie had a great personality and was loved by many people. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son in law, Brother and Uncle.
He loved and lived for his family. No words can describe the abundance of love he had for his wife Tracy and his children. He was also very proud of all of his children's accomplishments. Frank/Francie is survived by his wife of 30 years Tracy Ann (Lanza) Coleman. His 8 children, Frank Jr., Courtney (Cissy), Michael (Mickey), Erin, Patrick, Kevin, Carmel, & Catherine, a grandson, Noah. His two brothers, Sean, and Tony, his three sisters, Ann, Martina, and Phillomena. Many nieces and nephews, and Mother in Law Carol.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 1st at 8:15 am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue (Rt. 27) Metuchen followed by a 9 am Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery of Metuchen. Visitation will be on Monday from 6-10 pm.
