Irene Adele Buck, 90, of Edison, NJ passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at home. She was born in Metuchen, NJ to the late Otto "Peter" and Irene (Coley) Rosenvinge and was a graduate of Metuchen High School. She moved to and resided in Edison upon marriage. Adele loved nothing more than being with her family and friends. She was known world-wide as "Bammy." She left a lifetime of wonderful memories including vacations at the Jersey shore, the Pocono house and her great home cooked meals. She loved to travel and visited many places throughtout her life. She was active in AARP, Edison Seniors, President of the Stelton PTA, Thomas Jefferson Junior High PTA and Edison High School PTA. She also led a Girl Scout troop. She retired after 25 years as an administrative aide at Middlesex County College and was a devoted 77 year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen.
Irene is predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Richard Buck, Sr. and her sisters Ella Rossmeyer, Elsie Meinzer and Dorothy Rosenvinge.
She is survived by her son Richard Buck Jr. and his wife Lu Ann, and her daughter Pamela Bucci and her husband Ralph, all of Edison, NJ. Beloved grandmother to Richard "Ricky" Buck and his wife Rachael of Bridgewater, NJ, Taryn Latham and her husband Andrew of Edison, NJ, Dominick Bucci and his wife Holly of Morris Plains, NJ, Kim Bucci and Wes Golby of Hudson, NY and great-grandmother to Drew and Logan Latham, Isabella Bucci, Adele and Maxine Golby, many nieces and nephews and her extended family of Gina, Connie, Paula, Sara and Natasha. She will be sorely missed by family and friends.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 13th at 10 am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue (Rt. 27) Metuchen followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Service in the First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen.
