James John Toth, 87, of Metuchen, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at his home.
Born in Metuchen, he was a lifelong resident.
James joined the Marines in 1951. After being Honorable Discharged in 1953, he went to work at bar that his parents, John and Christina owned, called Tally Ho, in Metuchen. After working there for several years, he went to work for Metuchen Motors as a car salesman. James then went on to open up his own business in 1963 called Associated Amusements. He fully retired in 2010.
James is predeceased by his parents, John and Christina.
Surviving are his longtime friend and caregiver, Gennaro Musi and his wife Joann; his caregivers, Nataliya McCann and Mae Simon.
Visitation will take place Thursday from 7-9 at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave., Metuchen. The funeral will take place Friday 9:45 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:15 am Funeral Mass at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen.
Interment is in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
