Marjorie Winifred Earl Philpot, 90, of Edison, passed away on her birthday, November 29, 2017 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.
She was born in Jersey City & was raised in Menlo Park Terrace before moving to Edison in 1955. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Edison. She attended Metuchen High School. She loved to paint, play scrabble & cards, but most of all she cherished spending her time with her family.
She is predeceased by her husband, Andrew, who passed this August. They were married 70 years; parents, Harry Earl & Henrietta Thieling Earl; & four siblings, Eleanor Burns, Viola Hermsen, Clifford Earl, & Harry Haig.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Kostevicki and her husband Michael of Sparta, NC , Nancy Hudak and her husband John of Edison, & Donald and his wife Beth of Lanoka Harbor; 6 granddaughters, Denise Gonzales & her husband Russell, Catherine Palamar & her husband Thomas, Amy Hehn, Laura Philpot, Marjorie Hudak, & Amanda Chaneski & her husband Scott; a great granddaughter, Isabella Gonzales. She is also survived by her sister Gladys Fitzgerald of Waretown & many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be on held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 9-10:30 am with a service at 10:30 am at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue (Rt. 27), Metuchen. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
