Paul Wish died Thursday, January 19th, 2017 at home in Piscataway, NJ. For 55 years he was devoted husband of Sandra Marston Wish, who died in December 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Ann Wish of Irvine, CA and son, Lawrence Edward Wish of Deptford, NJ. He also leaves a sister, Carolyn Ann Wish of Quincy, Mass.
Paul Wish, aka Paul Edward (Ted) Wish III was born and raised by Jane and Ed Wish in North Plainfield, NJ and was a 1955 graduate of NPHS. He graduated from Colgate University in 1959.
During his career he was employed by J.C. Penney Co. in Mansfield, OH, Western Electric Co. in New York City, Atlantic Insurance Companies in New York City, and lastly A.M. Best Company, Oldwick, NJ at which he was a senior vice president and a director.
Among his civic activities during his long residency in Piscataway were member and president of Piscataway Lions Club, member and chairman of the Piscataway Industrial Commission and member of the executive committee of the Friends of Piscataway Library. He also was president of the Lake Nelson Improvement Association for more than 20 years.
Visiting will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 2-4 pm with a memorial service at 3:30pm at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue (Route 27), Metuchen. Interment will be private at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
