Rose Marie Manfra, 96, of Edison died on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Mary Anne Hale Haven Hospice Pavilion at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Orange, she resided in West Orange before moving to Edison 14 years ago.
Rose Marie was employed by St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, before her retirement as the Supervisor of the Word Processing Department. She was a communicant of St. Matthew’s RC Church in Edison. Rose was an avid crocheter, painter, and was known and loved for her compassionate heart and love of laughter.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Carl Michael Manfra; and sons, Robert and Joseph Manfra.
Surviving are two sons, Carl and his wife Joyce, & Frederick and his wife Lucinda; two daughters, Mary Ellen Woods and her husband Robert, & Susan Melina Braun and her husband Donald; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Services will take place on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 8:45 AM from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen, followed by a 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Matthew’s RC Church; interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in East Orange. Visitation is Tuesday from 4-8 PM.
