Anthony Rella, 84, of Point Pleasant, formerly of Metuchen died on Friday, February 15, 2013 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.
Born in New York City, he resided in Metuchen for 30 years before moving to Point Pleasant 15 years ago. Anthony was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was an electrician with IBEW Local 400, before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife Annamarie (nee Budano), two sons Dominick and his wife Mary of Iselin, Anthony, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Mason OH; a daughter Jean Vick and her husband Bill of Metuchen; seven grandchildren Anthony and his wife Yessica , Sean, Joseph, Dominick, Michael, Nina and Benjamin and a great-grandson Justin. He is also survived by his lifelong friend Gabriel Battaglia, his wife Chris; and children Gabe (Godson) and Nicole.
Services will take place on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 9:45 AM from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen, followed by a 10:15 AM Mass of Resurrection at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral, Metuchen; interment is at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen.
