Albert Edward Erickson, 90, of Iselin, died on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at The Gardens at Monroe.
Albert was born in Jersey City to the late David and Elizabeth Erickson and lived in Kearny before moving to Iselin in 1963. Albert was the owner/operator of Erickson Express in Iselin. Albert enjoyed woodworking as well fishing and boating in the Raritan Bay with his friends and family. Albert coached Iselin Little League baseball and served as field manager for the Iselin Giants Pop Warner football team during the nineteen seventies. He also was a huge NY Yankees and NY Giants fan.
He is predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (Craney); and his brothers and sisters, Bob, Dave, Jerry, Isabelle, & Edith.
Albert is survived by his daughter, Joann Erickson Kulawczyk of Monroe Twp.; his three sons, Mark and his wife Mary Anne of Manville, Albert Jr. and his wife Kathy of Florida, & Kenneth and his wife Lisa of South Amboy; 6 grandchildren, Eric, Christopher, Crystal, Jessica, Jennifer, & Amanda; and three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Elijah, & Colton.
The visitation will be on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 10-11am followed by the funeral service at 11am at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green Street and Cooper Avenue, Iselin. The interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
