Andrew J. Scopelliti, 77, of Spotswood died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at his son's home in Chicago IL.
Born in Atlantic City, grew up in Metuchen and has resided in Spotswood since 1961.
Andrew was a Navy Veteran of The Korean War. He was employed by General Motors prior to his retirement. He was a former member of VFW and American Legion, and participant of the Veteran's Organization Tin Can Sailors. Formerly he served as President of Spotswood Boys Baseball League and Founder of Spotswood High School Booster Club.
Was preceded in death by his wife Audrey (Venett) in 1998.
Surviving are his son Drew Evan Scopelliti of Chicago, IL two daughters Denise Lynn Doll of San Diego, CA, Dawn Harvey of Gilbert, AZ, three grandchildren Daniel and Drew Allyse Harvey and Andrew J. Bush, a brother-in-law Emmett Venett of Milford DE, a sister-in-law Claire Venett of Metuchen.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:30 AM at The Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen, interment is at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen. Visitation is Friday 4-7 PM. To send condolences please visit Costello-runyon.com.
