Carmen J. Cuccolo, 92, of Milltown died on Saturday, May 18, 2019 in RWJ Medical Center in New Brunswick.
Carmen was born in Orange, NJ to the late Antonio Cuccolo and Caterina Vitale. He had lived in Irvington and Edison before residing in Milltown 20 years ago.
Carmen was a Police Officer for the Irvington Township for 31 years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Police Benevolent Association. He was also an expert marksman. He enjoyed golf, sports and the pistol range.
Carmen is predeceased by his former wife, Edna Marie Connors Cuccolo; his sister, Mary Cavanaugh and 5 brothers, Joseph, Anthony, John, Samuel and Victor.
Carmen is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan P. McGuire Cuccolo; his 2, daughters, Kathryn Ziegel and her husband Bill of Edison; Joan Kartelias and her husband James of Spotswood; 4 sons, John T. Cuccolo and his wife Marianne of Cranford; Edward A. Cuccolo and his wife Patsy of Roselle Park; Carmen A. Cuccolo and his wife Holly of Somerset and Timothy Cuccolo of East Brunswick; 2 sisters, Catherine Zeoli of St. Petersburg, FL and Helen Salerno of Morristown; 11 grandchildren, Christopher, John, Danielle, Matthew, Kevin, Kelly, Steven, Ben, Penny, Georgia and Dylan; 5 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Olivia, Ryleigh, Brooklyn and Donovan, and many loving nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd at 11 am in the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue (Rt 27), Metuchen, NJ. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-9 pm. Interment will be at Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
