Chee Ying Cheung was born in Ngor Mee Village, Kwangtung Province, China in June of 1931. She married Fuk Wood Cheung in August of 1952 and moved to Hong Kong where her three sons were born.
She emigrated to the United States in January of 1962 and settled in Linden, NJ. She worked as a seamstress for over twenty years, most notably at Danny Boy Manufacturing in Elizabeth, NJ. After her retirement in 2000, she and her husband moved to Edison, NJ.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Fuk Wood; her sons - Daniel of Shelton, CT; Donald (Judi) of Piscataway, NJ; and David (Sarah) of Plainfield, NJ and her grandchildren- Jeffrey (Stephanie) of New Haven, CT, Marc of Shelton, CT; Oliver of Piscataway, NJ; Kelli of Jersey City, NJ and Kyle of Plainfield, NJ.
