Chu Lin, 97, of Edison passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Chu was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and moved to the United States in 1988 where she has lived in both Metuchen and Edison. She worked in Japan as a Pharmacist. She was a member of the Evergreen Academy Taiwanese Presbyterian Church in New Brunswick. She loved nature and gardening, as well as embroidering. Chu was a big sports fan, especially the New York Mets; she even has had Season Tickets. She loved to learn and would follow the stock market and CNN.
Chu is predeceased by her husband, Shui-Hiong (1994) and her daughter, Shu Hwa Wang.
Chu is survived by her son, Ching Fu Lin and his wife Jumei of Briarcliff Manor; her daughters, Shwu Lih Lin Wu and her husband Keng of Cranbury & Su Huang Lin of Edison; 5 grandchildren, Gregory Wang, Yaoyu Wang, Gloria Lin, Eaton Lin, and Stephanie Wu-Cayyani, grandaughter-in-law Moying Hsieh, grandson-in-law Alexander Cayanni and 2 great-grandchildren, Jiun-Yu and De-Chan.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday April 2, 2019 from 10-11am followed by a funeral service at 11am at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen.
