David L. Mutilitis, 52, of Hopelawn died at his home on July 7, 2019.
Born in South Amboy, he had resided in Edison & Hopelawn.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce; 3 sons, Noah, Nicholas, & Mason all of Woodbridge; aunt, Donna Berecsky & husband Robert of Cliffwood Beach; mother- in- law, Diane Capparucci of Edison; sister- in-law Stacey Cashin & husband Sean of Edison; dear friends, Victoria Verello of Hightstown & Randall Kidd of Union Beach; several nieces & nephews; & his fur-kids, Bella, Scooter, & Brandee.
He is predeceased by his parents, Frank & Georgetto; and a sister, Mary & Kenny Flood.
He belonged to the Pioneer Rod & Gun Club, American Legion, & the Elks. He was a proud Iron Worker working as a certified welder Local Hall #11. He loved cooking, entertaining guests, hunting, fishing, & vacationing with his sons and wife and being with the ones he loved. He was the proud new business owner of the Metuchen Barber Shop. He was a very loving & devoted husband, proud father of his 3 sons who meant the world to him & an amazing friend. Anyone that David has touched in his lifetime, he left a wonderful lasting memory with.
A funeral service will take place on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at 11 am at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave (Rt.27), Metuchen. Cremation will be private.
A visitation will take place on Saturday from 2-7 pm.
