Eileen Padberg Lee, 59, of Ruskin Florida passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 after a long battle fighting cancer at Sun City Hospice.
Born in Red Bank, New Jersey, raised in Elboron, resided in Stewartsville, New Jersey before moving to Ruskin, Florida in 2014
Eileen was a graduate of Long Branch High School in 1976, where she was an outstanding student athlete, receiving varsity letters in basketball, track, and cheerleading. She was also selected as the captain of the women’s basketball team her senior year. Eileen attended Kean University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education in 1979. Eileen was a varsity cheerleader & worked with several of the college sports teams as their scorekeeper.
Eileen had an extraordinary career in the retail and private industry. She was sole proprietor of TGI which provided retail companies with training and talent development tools. For the last year and a half she was the Retail Corporate Trainer with Salon Centric of St Petersburg, Florida.
Eileen’s life was full of joy and love. A strong-willed individual who when asked her opinion would share honestly & candidly. One better watch out for her reply because she would not sugarcoat her response . Eileen thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, sharing laughs, good food and a fine bottle of wine.
Eileen was predeceased by a brother Andrew Richard Padberg.
She is survived by her husband Gerard Thomas Lee; her parents Margaret Franzman Padberg and Richard G Padberg; siblings, Mary Padberg, Peter Padberg, Matthew Padberg (Bonnie), Joseph Padberg, Patrick Padberg, Marcy Padberg Wolf (David); her sister-in-law Eileen Lee Swan( Bryan). Eileen was an amazing Aunt, Great Aunt, and god-parent to many, both related and non-related.
Services will take place on Saturday, February 17, 2018 @ 9:45AM from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home @ 568 Middlesex Avenue, Metuchen, followed by a 10:15AM Funeral Liturgy @ St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral, Metuchen. Visitation is Thursday 7-9PM and Friday 2-4PM & 7-9PM
