Evelyn Santiago Martinez, of West New York, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 22, 2020, at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey.
Born in Malolos, Bulacan, Philippines, she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from St. Paul College in Quezon City, Philippines. She resided in Manila, Philippines and Piscataway, NJ before moving to West New York 20 years ago. Evelyn worked as a banker at Capitol One after which she took a position in the financial department at E-Z Edge, Inc. in West New York until her retirement.
She was predeceased by her husband Humberto, and her parents, Rufino Cervantes and Emma Torres Villaroman Santiago. Surviving are her siblings Rolly and Nanette Santiago, Bidgie and Ed Williamson, Runnie and Jo-ann Santiago, Ebeth and Oyet Robles, Monette and Baby Santiago, Bembem and James Foronda, Bubu and Charlie Cowser, and Roel Santiago. She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Humberto and Sara Martinez, and the many nieces and nephews whom she loved and adored.
A private memorial service at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home and interment at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Piscataway, NJ, are scheduled for April 28, 2020. The family will hold a memorial at a future date.
