George Michael Ladd, 76, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Miami, Florida and raised in Staten Island, NY before moving to Metuchen in 1976, with his cherished wife, Susan. In 2017, they moved to North Brunswick with their daughter Jennifer, son-in-law, Thomas, and two grandchildren.
George worked at Revlon for 29 years and Delaware Valley Wholesale Florist before retiring in 2000. He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen, where he proudly served on the Board of Deacons. Spending time with family, having a house full of company, vacationing in the islands, and enjoying his grandchildren brought the most joy to George.
Surviving are his devoted wife of 44 years, Susan (Prongay) Ladd, his loving daughter, Jennifer (Ladd) Masnica, son-in-law Thomas Masnica, and his adoring grandchildren Thomas Joseph (TJ) and Madison Noelle Masnica. He is also survived by his in-laws Robert and Karen Prongay, Thomas and Denise Prongay, Patricia and Robert Chamberlain, Diane Prongay, Stephen and Antoinette Prongay, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Elmer and Mary Ladd, in-laws Albert and Josephine Prongay, and brother-in-law Michael Prongay.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 11:00 Am at the First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen 270 Woodbridge Ave. Metuchen. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
