Gregory S. Massengale, 62, of Edison, passed away October 2, 2018 at JFK Hospital in Edison.
Born in Covington, Kentucky; he grew up in Cincinnati Ohio and lived there for 26 years where he went to Western Hills High School and was a part of the Chi Omega Sigma Fraternity; he was a resident of Edison for the remainder of his life where he was a active member of the Sons of American Legion Post 65. Gregory was a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds, and any team that beats the Jets. He loved to travel and go on cruises but his favorite thing to do was spend every minute possible with his kids and wife.
Gregory is predeceased by his father, James; and son, Thomas Sherlock (2007).
Gregory is survived by his wife, of 29 years Kathleen (Erdman); his children, Gregory Jr. and Kristen of Edison; his mother Carol of Cincinnati; his brothers, James Jr. and his wife Chris of Cincinnati & Jeff and his wife Teri of Cincinnati; his sisters, Tanya Murphy and her husband Dan of Cincinnati & Laurie Wissel and her husband Bob of Cincinnati; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and also his beloved dog Chico.
Visitation will take place Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 5-8pm and Friday October 5, 2018 from 10-11am. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11am at Costello -Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave Metuchen; followed by the interment at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia.
