James McKnight Jr., 72, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at his residence.
James was born in New Brunswick to the late James Sr. and Olympia McKnight. He was a lifelong Edison resident but also lived in Queens, NY, and Amarillo, TX where he was stationed. James was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam War. He later worked as a Supervisor at Infineum USA LP in Linden and Exxon Mobil. James was a member of the American Legion in Edison and was a donor to the Shriners Childrens Hospital, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, and the ASCPA.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years Nancy (Zakovic); his sister, Carol Horn and her husband Alan of Roxbury; 3 nieces, Danielle Brassure (Ian) of Washington DC, Victoria Steffan (Rob) of New Egypt, and Christine Hernandez (Andrew Sprecher) of Virginia; and 2 great-nieces, Claudia and Julia.
Funeral Services will be held privately by Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Avenue, Metuchen NJ 08840.
