Joyce Lillian McEwen Allmer of Edison, born July 9th 1935, went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2019 with family by her side. Joyce was a devout Catholic, and parishioner at St.Helena Catholic Church in Edison, for more than 50 years. She was a long time Rosarian and a Legion of Mary member. Joyce mostly loved spending time with her family and playing a good game of Rummikub. She was blessed with many lifelong friends. She was full of life, with a contagious laughter and quick wit, which brought joy to all who know her. Despite her physical limitations due to her MS, she never complained. Her kind heart, love for others, and unwavering strength was an inspiration to all.

Joyce was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, Max. She is survived by her children, Chris, Kevin, Karen (Gallagher) and Carla (Merker); 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Kathleen Summerer and Janice McEwen.
