Keith Pahira, 64, of Metuchen died on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in South Amboy, he resided in Metuchen for 34 years. Keith received both his Bachelor and Graduate Degrees from Monmouth University.
He had worked at Food Fair in Linden and Twin County Grocers in Edison before becoming Senior Vice President at Temco in Manhattan. Keith enjoyed reading, gardening, golfing, and watching sports, especially the NY Yankees. But most of all, Keith enjoyed spending time with his family who will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Catherine Pahira; and his brother and sister-in-law, John and Jeanette Pahira.
Surviving are his loving wife of 39 years Joan (Peterson) Pahira; two daughters, Rebecca Botts and her husband Lawrence of Metuchen & Katie Pahira of Hoboken; a son, Michael Pahira of Metuchen; two grandchildren Zachary and Adelyn Botts; his sister Dawn Choma, and her husband Robert, of Brick; many nieces and nephews; as well as his faithful dog Buddy.
Services will take place on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 9:45 AM from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen, followed by a 10:15 Am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral; interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen. Visitation is Tuesday 4-8 PM.
