Mildred A. Petruska, 85, of Iselin passed away at home on Monday, July 20, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, she has resided in Iselin since 1964. Mildred was a communicant of St. Helena’s RC Church in Edison.
Mildred loved cooking, coloring, board games and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Andrew G. Petruska, who died in 2003, parents John and Margaret Stesney; nephews Joseph Stesney and Myron Petruska.
Surviving are her children Lynne Hannon and her husband Francis of Piscataway, Andrew Petruska and his wife Patricia and their 3 children and grandson of Toms River, Robert Petruska of Somerset, Karen Staggard and her husband Robert of Iselin; a brother Joseph Stesney and his wife Judy of Ocala, FL; sister in-law Theresa Petruska of Wilkes Barre, PA; her grandchildren Joseph, Kimberly (Donald), Jessica (Jan Sebastian), Samantha (Andrew), great-grandchildren Alena, Sebastian and Ellabelle. She is also survived by a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 5-7 PM at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen.
The funeral will take place on Friday, July 24, 2020 at 9:15 AM from the Funeral Home, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Helena’s RC Church, Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
