Obituary

Minor Scotland, 89, of Edison died on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 peacefully at home.

Born in East Orange, he has resided in Edison for 52 years. He was an electrician at University of Medicine and Dentistry in Piscataway before his retirement. Minor was a US Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen and a Free and Accepted Mason.

He was predeceased by two brothers Elmer and Edward; and a sister Vivian Mitchell.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years Doris (Petersen); a son Keith Allen of Edison; a daughter Denise Michelle of Harrisburg, PA; a brother Joe of Martha's Vineyard MA; a sister Doris Moore of Sarasota FL; nieces and nephews Claire, Roger, Glen, Mark, Bruce, Jeannine, Lisa and Michael.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen 270 Woodbridge Ave. Metuchen. Arrangements are by the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home. To send condolences please visit costello-runyon.com.
