Obituary

Natalie Gualtieri DeFrancesco, 93, passed away on July 17, 2019, at the Parker Home in Piscataway. Her children were by her side in the last weeks of her life.
Natalie was born in Syracuse, NY, to Catherine and Salvatore Gualtieri.

She was one of five siblings. Natalie was a 1948 graduate of Syracuse University, with a degree in Advertising. She had a very accomplished career, beginning with her first job out of college, working for the President of the Kaletsky agency in Syracuse, NY.

Natalie was predeceased by the love of her life, Michael J DeFrancesco, who died on July 16, 2018. Her passing comes one year and one day after her husband. They were married 64 years and united in love until the end. They were long time communicants of St. Helena’s Church, Edison. In addition, they were members of the Metuchen Golf and Country Club for over 50 years.

Natalie was a very strong and determined individual. She loved the world of advertising and was very successful in her career. In addition, she loved traveling and playing golf with her love, Michael. Natalie was a voracious reader and loved to broaden her vocabulary. One of her favorite pastimes was to travel into NYC to shop and enjoy Broadway shows.

Natalie is survived by her son Chuck (Roseann) of North Brunswick and daughter Joanie (Jim) of Charlotte, NC; her four grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Julia and Connor. Natalie has a surviving brother Ed (Lola) Gualtieri of Syracuse, NY. She has many nieces and nephews, and as well as great nieces and nephews.

Our family is very grateful for the care she received at the Parker Home, the wonderful nurses and aides, especially Kristin Fields, Alpita Patel and Leonia Emmanuel. Thank you to Dr. Eck and to the wonderful staff at Stein Hospice, especially Joy Hall.

Many thanks for all the support of many dear friends and family, especially the Glennon Family.
