Olga Patalano, 102, of Edison passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at AristaCare at Cedar Oaks of South Plainfield.
Born in New York City, she also lived in Teaneck and Dumont before moving to Edison in 1984. She worked for the IRS as an analyst in New York. She also worked for Time and Life Magazine in Teaneck as a subscription analyst, MidAtlantic Bank in Englewood as a Mastercard analyst, and at Millbrook Village in Edison as a rental officer. She was a parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle Church in Edison. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as her friends in Florida.
She is predeceased by her father, Vincent Pozzo, her mother, Rose Asinelli, her husband, Vincent T. (d. 1984); her brother, Joseph Pozzo and his wife Josephine; and her daughter in law, Donna (Santangelo).
She is survived by her two sons, Vincent J. and his wife Christine of Edison & Joseph and his wife Elizabeth of Edison; six grandchildren, Douglas and his wife Mary of Delaware, Valerie Rieder and her husband Nicholas of Sayreville, Madison of Edison, Logan of Edison, Jessica Chiarolanzio and her husband Joseph of Florham Park, and Elissa Linderman and her husband Peter of Baldwin, LI; two great-granddaughters, Gianna and Ava; as well as many nephews and cousins.
The Funeral will take place on September 26, 2020 at 10:15am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. Metuchen followed by a 11am Funeral Mass at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, 81 Seymour Ave Edison. A Memorial Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 8:30am to 10:15am at the funeral home.
