Ralph E. Berg, 65, of Edison, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2018 at his residence.
Born in Philipsburg, PA, Ralph grew up in Rahway and then moved to Edison 28 years ago. Ralph was a Veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War. He later went on to work at H. Lutz in Linden as a Pipefitter Foreman and later worked in construction for M.M. Wertheim in Bridgewater. Ralph was a Member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Edison where he would love to volunteer his time. He would help cut the grass on Fridays, assist with the Food Pantry, among many other Church activities. Ralph loved fishing, woodworking, and watching all types of car racing, including modified and dirt track.
Ralph is predeceased by his father, George Berg (1995); and his brother, George Berg Jr. (1984).
Ralph is survived by his wife of 29 years, Debra Berg (McKay); his mother, SaraMae; his 2 brothers, Charles and his wife Joan of Winfield Park & Daniel Berg of Bangor, PA; his sister, Julie Schmidt and her husband Ron “Smitty” of South Plainfield; his nieces and nephews, Michael Schmidt, Lisa Collins, Charlie Berg, & Jessica Berg; and 4 great-nephews.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10am at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 445 Old Post Rd. Edison, NJ 08817.
