Salvatore Vincent Scoglio, 71, of Metuchen, died Wednesday June 16, 2010 at JFK Medical Center, Edison.
Born in Manhattan, NY, he has resided in Metuchen for 38 years.
He was an Air Force Veteran.
Mr. Scoglio graduated from City College of NY with a B.S in Mechanical Engineering.
He was the owner and operator of Coordinate Engineering.
He served on the Zoning Board in Metuchen.
He was an inventor, a golfer, creative cook and an avid Yankee fan since he was 9 years old.
He is predeceased by his brother Anthony.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years Karen Scoglio(neeGundersen), children Kristina Knehans and her husband Matthew of Annandale, Jonathan Scoglio and his wife Megan of Salisbury, MD; brother Joseph Scoglio, sisters Nancy Fichera and her husband Pasquale, Marie McClure, Anne Giardina, Mildred Murach and granddaughters Porter, Anna and Erika as well numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place Saturday June 19, 2010 at 10am at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave (Rt.27) Metuchen (costello-runyon.com) followed by interment at Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
Visitation is Thursday 7-9 and Friday 2-4 and 7-9.
