Stephanie Ann Cassell(nee Leonardis), 58, of Edison, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020.
Born in Newark, she resided in Edison for 33 years.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen. She was a former Mortgage Broker, and a proud 25-year Leukemia survivor. Her passions were her family first, coaching softball, and trips to her happy place in Myrtle Beach.
Stephanie was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, friend, and coach.
She is predeceased by her father, Thomas Leonardis; her brother-in-law, Herbie Williams, and her mother and father-in-law, Marie and Richard Cassell.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Peter C. Cassell; her mother, Ann Leonardis of Fords; three children, Peter T. Cassell of Washington, D.C., Anthony R. Cassell of Aberdeen, and Valerie A. Cassell of Edison; five siblings, Donna Williams of Queens, NY, Thomas Leonardis of Glen Gardner, NJ, Margie McDonald and her husband, Robert, of Point Pleasant Beach, Stephen Leonardis of Edison, and Christopher Leonardis of Fords; her in-laws, Melinda Cassell, Ellen and Joe Tanksley, James and Lida Cassell, Leah Cassell, and Richard and Elizabeth Cassell; 10 nieces and nephews; and 7 grand nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will take place on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at 9:45 am, at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. (Rt.27), Metuchen, followed by a 10:15 am Funeral Mass at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen.
Interment is in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
Visitation is Tuesday 2-4pm & 7-9pm.
