Sylvia V.H. Taylor, 98, of Metuchen, passed away peacefully on Friday June 19, 2020 at JFK Hospital in Edison.
Born in Perth Amboy, she has lived in Nevada, West Virginia, Norway, & Italy before moving to Metuchen in 1928. She worked as a Principle Lab Technician at Rutgers University in New Brunswick. She has been a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Metuchen since 1928. Sylvia has also been a member of the Metuchen Historical Society and Friends of the Metuchen Library.
She is predeceased by her daughter, Dr. Lyn Taylor.
Sylvia is survived by her son, Fred Taylor and his wife Deborah of Edison; her grandson, James Haefner and his wife Karen; and her great-grandson, Jesse.
On Monday, June 29th there will be a burial of cremated remains held at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church in Metuchen. If you will be in attendance please wear a mask and please practice social distancing. There will be a live stream for the burial on Saint Luke's, Metuchen Facebook page.
