Venerable Vitalista Raymundo formerly known as Jockey Vener of Manila Jockey Club and Sta. Ana Racing Club in the year ‘60s, 73 years old, died July 25, 2017 at 10:56 PM on the way going to Manila, Philippines a Providence Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.

A service will be held at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home located at 568 Middlesex Ave. (Rt27), Metuchen, NJ on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 2 - 6 PM and a burial to take place at St. Gertrude Cemetery and Mausoleum, Inman Ave., Colonia, NJ on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11:30 AM. This is preceded by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen at 10:15 AM. Vener as he is called was born July 2, 1944 in San Ildelfonso, Bulacan, Philipines to Jose Esteban Raymundo and Sotera Vitalista. He married Felicidad Magno on November 20, 1965 in Manila.

Vener worked as a contract worker of Sokoto Rima Basin Development Authority (SRBDA) in Sokoto, Nigeria for four years before he brought his family to the USA in December of 1984 where he worked for EBASCO in the World Trade Center for many years up to the time when this was bombed. He then studied Nursing Assistant until he got certified and worked at Runnells Specialized Hospital up to the time when he retired. He resided in Middlesex County, city of Fords and Metuchen for 32 years. In retirement, he enjoyed traveling both in land and sea. He took vacation in 3 cruises such as Mediterranean Cruise, Scandinavian Cruise and Baltic Cruise. For land tours joining with Trafalgar, he had been to Caribbean Islands such as Barbados, St. Marten, St. Lucia, St. Moritz; he liked so much the package called the Italian Dreams like Rome (Roma), Florence (Firenzi), and Venice (Venezia); added to these are travels to some Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Japan, and Bangkok.

Vener’s love for his family, generosity, and kind heart were an inspiration to his loved ones. He lived his life to the fullest. He is survived by his wife, Felie; six children, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Virgilio, the eldest has two nice ladies: Angieleen and Joanna; Maria married to Chris has three pretty ladies: Rachelle, Veronica, and Marilyn; the third daughter is Anna; Janvier married to Ardana has to fine gentlemen: Guiseppi and JayJay; John with his partner Ron has one bright and energetic boy: Dylan; and Jenny married to Mike has one sweet and pretty girl, Princess Addie and one smart and cute boy, Aidan; and the youngest & darling of the family, his great-grandchild and favorite, Baby Gabriel or fondly called “GC”.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Costello-Runyon Funeral Home of Metuchen, New Jersey.
