Violet Wladyslawa Glodek, 92, of Edison & Hillsborough, died on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at RWJUH in Somerset.
She was born in Newark to the late Joseph & Veronica Orzechowski. She worked at National Union Radio Corporation & Matex Corporation in Edison. She was an active member in the Stelton Seniors Club where she called Bingo, participated in Tai Chi, line dancing & swimming. She loved to crochet baby hats & blankets for babies in the Special Care Nursery at JFK Hospital in Edison. She also volunteered at the Edison Poll District 14.
She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Stanley (d.2016).
She is survived by her three children, John & his wife Gloria of Swanzey, NH, Cynthia Campbell & her husband Floyd of Somerset, & Maryann Youngman & her husband George of Annandale; two grandchildren, Floyd Campbell III & his wife Amber, & Carolyn Campbell; & great-grandchild, Tess Campbell.
The funeral will take place Monday, November 12, 2018 at 9:45 am at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave. (Rt.27) Metuchen, followed by a 10:15 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen. Interment will take place at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1 to 5 pm.
