Ying Jin passed away on Tuesday, April 28 at the age of 57 at her home, surrounded by loved ones.
When Ying immigrated to the United States, she had the opportunity to choose an English name for herself, which many of you know her by: Joy. She could not have chosen a better name. She was a bright spot in our lives with her boundless energy and bright optimism. She was enthusiastic about the outdoors and loved to go camping in the wilderness or hike trails throughout various national parks. She was adventurous and love to try new experiences, and encouraged all of us to do so as well.
She was a strong fighter and never gave up. She picked up new hobbies. She planted tomato gardens, learned to crochet, and taught herself how to play the piano. She joined a choir group where she shared her voice and performed for countless audience. She was a loving wife and mother. We will miss her delicious cooking, her morning voice warm ups, and her infectious smiles.
She is survived by her husband, Weiguo, and her daughter, Han. Arrangements are being held privately under the direction of Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, Metuchen.
